Week Notes 25#43

  • A busy, productive, week at work this week, but a couple of slower brain days
  • Was nice to catch up with Nikos and Michael
  • In Kingshot, did well on Eternity's Reach based on a YouTube video shared in the Alliance chat
  • With Anna speaking at Serverless Days in Cardiff, was just Cookie and Morph and I for a couple of days
  • Got my first couple of personal blog posts published about Renovate
  • Had a nice, quiet, pub night
  • A night away in Cambridge to see Sarah and the kids for A's birthday
    • We went to the pumpkin walk at Walsham which was nice
    • We stayed in The Dairy at Home Farm, which was so incredibly lovely - well situated, good welcome basket, well stocked and super toasty + well designed!
    • While on our way, there was a stretch of road that we saw a car pulling over in a safe place, with smoke coming out of it, with at least a mile worth of smoke billowing behind it, and making it unsafe for other drivers 😬
    • Had a good day for the soul with Rich and Soph yesterday while Anna was at the kids' party
    • We drove back late last night - instead of early this morning - but definitely feeling it after a weekend of lots of driving πŸ₯±
  • Made some very good progress on finalising my Desert Island Discs, but not quite finished the write-up

Reading:

  • Abbadon's Gate

    • Caught up with Season 5, with the finale on Tuesday!
  • (No The Bear this week)
  • (No Taskmaster this week)
  • Friends
  • A House of Dynamite
    • Very good, high levels of tension and reminded me of Leave the World Behind
