Week Notes 25#33

• The weather's back to being chilly 🥶
• On a dog walk with Cookie, I noticed that the leaves have started falling and being particularly crunchy - autumn is almost here 😅
• Made some efforts to try and improve my LinkedIn cross-posting but it turns out none of the platforms do what I need, so I'm going to have to build it myself
  • Tried out Pipedream but was very disappointing you can't modify any of the code without using AI, and that the AI tokens run out very quickly so it was a whole waste of time
• Had a good pub night with Carol and Dougie (and lil' Fergus 🌭)
• Sorted out a little bit of the my finances + moving things around
• Made a good start to a between jobs holiday 👀
• Had a nice lunch at Yamas today (keeping us in the mood for holiday) and mosey around the shops
• Had some good discussions at work about Ghostty's "please disclose AI usage" + adding it into Renovate, too
• At work, I've been back to writing a blog post about a particularly significant incident I helped cause last year, which I'm hoping to have done before I leave
• Some exciting behind-the-scenes stuff that I may not be able to talk about for a bit 👀
• A very disappointing case of some significant GitHub sponsorship for oapi-codegen fell through - still a bit unsure what actually happened, but some good discussion with the private maintainer chat about it
• This weekend is a bank holiday weekend which is nice

In "new job":

• Continuing my blog post to announce the new job 👀
• Think most folks I generally work with are aware now, and it's nice to be able to talk about it more openly / what needs to be discussed before I leave

Watched:

• Ugly Betty
  • Noticed a few sets of lines being looped - interesting to notice it
• Captain America: Brave New World
  • Was alright - not as bad as people made it out to be
• (No The Bear this week)
