Week Notes 25#25

An intense last week of work - before our week off - and a reminder of how much I/we need time off:

  • TV got fixed 🚀 nice to have full audio back
  • Realised that despite having a 4K TV for ~a year, we'd not upgraded our Netflix to 4K 😅 Our other streaming services all seem to be upgraded, at least, just not Netflix
  • Found Pokerogue and am very interested 👀
  • Got my Kindle out - ahead of holiday - and realised it hasn't been used since 2023-08 😱
  • My post about zsh history appeared in Javascript Weekly 🤓
  • Succumbed to the ads and thought I'd try Kingshot out - so far it's been fun, something new to do, and not paid anything (yet?)
  • Had some very vivid dreams this week - mostly very much a case of my headspace and things going on right now
  • Thursday was a bad brain day at work, which was frustrating as I had a lot to do this week, putting stuff in place before holidays
  • Got in a feature at work that should significantly reduce toil by automating a number of manual checks in a specific review process for our on-call rota
    • And, as ever, learning more about GitHub Actions and how to get things working with forks - thanks Victor!
  • It's Morph's 14th birthday today 😱 He's such an old baby, but was very happy with tuna breakfast 😋
  • Was funny hearing that I'm a bit of a flight risk - I wonder if the cause of that is aware? Hmm
  • Got Gousto early this weekend so we can make use of it before our week off
  • A toasty end to the week

In Dependency Management Data:

  • Continuing to work on prep for my tutorial at Gophercon (and Manchester Gophers, to be announced soon!)
  • Didn't quite get around to finishing things off with my Evidence integration to then blog about it, but hopefully tomorrow
  • Added support for Package Aliases and Important Packages into DMD, which has already been super useful with how we're using DMD (+ Evidence) at work, to better visualise these
