Week Notes 25#22

  • A lovely Monday at Cowley Manor Experimental
    • Was a nice break from Cookie, until a dog barking and whining in a room a couple of doors down, very much not appreciating being left on its own
    • We chilled by the pool, reading our books and generally had a chilled day
  • Had a nice lunch with Anna's parents when they dropped off Cookie
  • Going out in the night - when heavily raining - Cookie didn't enjoy then not being able to come back into the bedroom, therefore barking more at us 🙃
  • After thinking about it for a while, I asked Copilot (via GPT:41) to create me a lil' rofi-driven snippet tool for work - I've been hand writing things like Mend Renovate Community Edition for ages, and it's now nice to not have to hand-write it as much!
  • My Cobra text/template blog post landed on Golang Weekly, so had some traffic from that
  • Finally finished my blog post about creating a Dependency Dashboard from a Renovate Report (aka without having Issues enabled)
  • Got a "legendary" pet on Cat Snack Bar which has made the Burger Tower Challenge much easier, but still tough
  • Had a nice time at Working Man's Pizza
  • Not watched 👇🏼 as we've monopolised on our enjoyment of The Rings of Power and watched that this weekend:
    • Captain America: Brave New World
    • One Piece
  • Very dejected end of the week and a bit of a dark cloud over the weekend
    • Also got some regrets about a choice I made during the week
    • Did start on both a GitHub Action for renovate-packagedata-diff and trying to create a virtual table extension in SQLite to call out to Backstage, but lost all motivation
  • Migrated my journal web app from a world-facing (but authenticated) app to now only available on my Tailscale tailnet
    • Also because I think I really need to get some thoughts down to process my feelings
  • Looking forward to being on 99 Dev Problems tomorrow 👀
  • Helped Anna with taking down (most of) the fitted wardrobes in her office
  • Did some clearing + tidying in my office
  • Shuffled around my speakers' placement on my desk, will see how that's different 🤞🏼
  • Had a nice mid-week Rakki Rakkas after a nice late walk in the park

  • Sunrise on the Reaping
    • Although I've not made time to read it since coming home

Watched:

  • House
  • Taskmaster
    • And outtakes on YouTube
  • Archer
  • The Rings of Power
    • Finished season 1 and speeding through season 2 - 2 episodes left!
