2025's podcasts in review

(Aside: I'm considering moving this into a microsite powered by Evidence, like I do with my Music In Review, where I could graph some of this data more effectively - we'll see if I can get around to doing this, as well as adding previous years of listening data)

Listening

This year, according to Podcast Addict (the app I use) I listened to ~24.5 days worth of podcasts in 2025.

As a lover of Star Trek: Voyager, and trying to not always listen to tech things, I've got into The Delta Flyers, which has been good fun and something that's always been a good ongoing series to listen to, and I'm definitely looking forward to watching it again with all the behind-the-scenes trivia in place.

I also wish that these in-depth views were what Ty and That Guy did for The Expanse - they were really too high-level, especially in the final season where it seemed like they wanted to get it over with :/

With Changelog focussing on the main thing, it was interesting seeing that a few of the podcasts I listened to on the Changelog network didn't really persist to the same level - while some, like Fallthrough, went from strength to strength and has been a lot of fun (as a guest and listener).

As a guest

In 2025, I was on 9(!) podcasts, which were all fun!

Other notes

David Flanagan asked if I had a public podcast subscription list, so I thought I may as well create a /podcasts/ page which covers my up-to-date recommendations - a number of which can be seen in my top 10, but also includes some that I've listened to more over the years.
