Accessing (accidentally) 'used' tickets in The Trainline's app

Last night I clicked "mark as used" on one of my tickets in The Trainline app. It was for the first part of a set of advance single tickets, and I wanted to remove the first leg of the journey from the app, so I only had the next day's tickets in the app.

I clicked through the warning to say "you can't undo this", not realising until immediately after I clicked it, that it meant the whole journey would be marked as used, not that single leg of the journey.

Given this meant I now had no train ticket for the morning, I panicked, and searched around in the app for ways to undo it or recover it, searching emails to see if the etickets were sent to me (they weren't) before realising that I was stuffed.

After much panic, I had started to reach out the customer service, which required logging into the website (not the native app), and wondered if the account settings showed anything there.

Fortunately, it looks like in the my bookings page, there is the ability to download etickets (in PDF form) πŸš€

So even if you do "mark as used" in the app, you can still get access to your tickets.

Note that this morning, when it came time for my train, the Trainline app still knew that my train was when it was, and popped up a notification with tracking details. Then, when I clicked into the app, there was a "view tickets" button, which rendered my ticket.

So it looks like the app doesn't completely forget the tickets either, which is good.
