This is a top tip from @rikshawindian - if your customer orders a curry with Medium spice but you accidentally make it as a Hot, just update the writing on the container, as they won't be able to tell the difference when eating their lava π₯π
Time for another #CoronavirusHaircut, although this time it's not been quite as long - Anna Dodson was surprised to be able to see my ears again!
I will not be attending
#Morph has just had a coughing fit, so of course I'm now Googling "can cats get #coronavirus" π¬πΏ
Very excited for the #IndieWebCamp Micropub pop-up session today - come join us to talk about the open standard for CRUD functionality on web tooling https://events.indieweb.org/2020/07/micropub-pop-up-session-kGMIMOXFUdBn
#Morph is settled in and really enjoying the #LifeAtCapitalOne (remote) summer party with Anna Dodson and I this evening
I may be attending
Reminder that it's #HomebrewWebsiteClub Nottingham tonight! I hope to see you there at 1730 for some website stuff! https://events.indieweb.org/2020/07/online-homebrew-website-club-nottingham-J6rKyTq3khYa
Your "burn out" may actually be depression. It was for me. I'm guessing it wasn't just me. πThread/Adam Grenier (@AKGrenier)Mon, 20 Jul 2020 18:08 +0000

I donβt know about anyone else but Iβve already spent a small fortune on masks, admittedly as a result of losing them or forgetting them at home. Itβs fine for me, I can afford to buy more on the road. For those on low incomes, though, this could quickly become a problem.

Feedback giving and receiving is really important, and I've found it can make someone's day to give them some feedback that helps appreciate the things they've done.
Something I've tried - and regularly failed - on doing is providing microfeedback (regular small pieces of feedback as and when folks do things)
However, Julia's point about asking first is something I've not considered before, so I'm definitely going to keep that in mind.
Surely there is cause they're fucking all of us? π
No there fucking is not

So Anna Dodson asked me earlier why, in the heat of the day, I was wrapped in a blanket. #Morph is why. Look at this little cutie
The real learning is that lots of people don't know what they're logging. Logs are dangerous, and you should regularly check they don't contain anything you wouldn't want made public
A "no logging" VPN service had millions of user logs exposed on an open Elasticsearch server, including plaintext passwords, geo, & IPs and took 2+ weeks to close after being notified. Lesson: Commercial VPN services lie. A lot.Kenn White (@kennwhite)Thu, 16 Jul 2020 16:29 +0000
A nice thing about working on the same project for many years is youβre forced to deal with the consequences of bad decisions you made long ago. Really sharpens your instinct for spotting technical debt before it starts accruing.
