The best thing about Twitter is you can ask people to show you their pets and they do. Then if you tell them to give the pets treats or pet them, they often comply and send photos of their compliance. This is the power I have always craved.

If you write something, it's copyrighted automatically. You can *give up* some of your rights under copyright, e.g. with a Creative Commons license. Fair use is a defense against copyright violation. In this case quoting a section or sections in a story would probably be fair use
