I saw a tweet recently that I wanted to confirm. Sadly I can't find it right now, but it was about digital pregnancy tests. So, I went out and grabbed a 2-pack for 7 dollars: let's tear it down!foone (@Foone)Fri, 04 Sep 2020 02:23 +0000
Digital pregnancy tests are a scam and this thread is incredible

Just finished a technical interview... The process consisted of me implementing a new feature into one of my personal projects while the interviewer followed along I actually enjoyed this opposed to the typical technical interview question but I’m still nervous as shit 😭Jordan (@TheJordanRules_)Thu, 03 Sep 2020 16:01 +0000

It has come to my attention that it’s only legal to evict bats from your home during certain months, when the weather is nice enough to ensure their safety. Nothing against bats. But our legal system literally cares more about flying rats than people who can’t make rent.Claire Glenn (@JustAnotherPD)Thu, 03 Sep 2020 15:38 +0000
this talk by @sandimetz literally changed my life: youtube.com/watch?v=VzWLGM… it taught me the concept of psychological safety, which helped me reframe the way i view all my relationships. it also helped me understand the crux of my marital problems and helped me pursue a divorce.jessica (will work for waffles) (@witchywaffles)Thu, 03 Sep 2020 15:46 +0000

In jvt.me/posts/2020/09/… , @JamieTanna talks about not using online tooling for tasks like decoding JWT or prettifying JSON. Inspired by this, wrote my own offline tool. Works only on Mac now using a tool called "pbpaste" to read from clipboard. Gist: gist.github.com/bitsapien/3b9e…bitsapien 🏳️🌈 (@bitsapien_log)Thu, 03 Sep 2020 03:02 +0000

we talk a lot about overengineering but what about underengineering for example: anything that hasn't gone through performance and accessibility testing and fixing is underengineeredTatiana Mac 🚁 (@TatianaTMac)Wed, 02 Sep 2020 20:04 +0000
Finding out that the local sandwich shop makes a mean breakfast sandwich and also some pretty awesome sandwiches for lunch..... and delivers...... 🥰 Who ever thought that working from home meant always making your own lunch and saving money has it all wrong.Jenny Wong 🐝 (@miss_jwo)Wed, 02 Sep 2020 11:23 +0000
The new @monzo fees are basically "you commit to us and we'll commit to you" You want no fees? Make them your main squeeze 💍 You wanna treat them like a side chick? Gotta pay for the privilege 💅 Seems fair to me.eli schutze (@elibelly)Wed, 02 Sep 2020 11:31 +0000

Can someone please start a roast dinner/roast dinner wrap place and put it on Deliveroo in Nottingham? Also while you're at it can we have a flower delivery service where all the options are animal safe? Thanks 💜Jenni Brown 🍉 (@madebyjenni)Wed, 02 Sep 2020 13:13 +0000
This is really insightful. I've frequently run into exactly the same problem. Once the online tool is the only way somone knows to validate a secure token they will be more inclined to use it for sensitive data in a pinch
