This is fundamentally untrue and a few seconds of research disproves it

This content type is full of IndieWeb post types, which are all content types which allow me to take greater ownership of my own data. These are likely unrelated to my blog posts. You can find a better breakdown by actual post kind below:

I'm just a non-binary student, standing in front of my statistics professors, asking them to use any other example than sorting populations by men vs. women

Glad to hear everything is OK!
Had a minor health scare yesterday, ended up taking an ambulance ride and getting my heart checked in hospital. Luckily everything is fine, but definitely seems like stress is taking a toll on me. Reminder that we all need to take care of ourselves and each other right now ❤️

"likely weren't" - this is the whole point! "likely" implies that there were people who were affected, having the risk of assault, rape, or murder. It's very unlikely that we'll know for sure, but making a feature opt-in to literally protect people isn't the end of the world. "negative default settings" was the state of play before the change. They didn't give people a choice, and didn't provide sufficient support to users to understand this. So by making the change, we're now in "positive default settings"

Re-watching Grey's Anatomy - one of the male doctors is looking at a big fancy car brochure, female doctor looks over his shoulder and says "oooh, you looking to buy a road penis?" Perfection 😂Emma Seward (@MrsEmma)Thu, 15 Oct 2020 20:59 +0000

It only had high social appeal because no one knew it was on, so you're lamenting something that never truly was. But as we've said, if you want to continue using it with others, all you need to do is enable it before running together
You're so close to a revelation here, now just try giving a shit about anyone but yourself

In software design we don't blame the user for the lack of safe defaults. We know most users won't read the documents.

I mean, you still can use the feature can't you? It's not like Andrew has gotten Strava to completely remove the feature. If you, and anyone you run with, want to turn it on, he's given you the link 🤷🏽♂️
That's a good point - it's not one I'd considered. It's also uncovered a bug (or maybe a feature 🤷🏽♂️) where sending syndication
does not get sanitised like mp-syndicate-to
Yes I'm concerned about the handling of data, at all companies including the one I work for. Even more so when that handling puts peoples' safety at risk.Andrew Seward (@MrAndrew)Thu, 15 Oct 2020 13:09 +0000
Could I politely request that men -- who are by society's rules allowed to look exactly like they do in bed -- think a bit before asking women, who are expected to have their hair and makeup done, to do video meetings and calls?

I am finally off parole. 18 years in prison, then 25 months on parole. I am 38, and this is the first time in my adult life that I have not been either incarcerated or on some type of supervision. I didn't realize how mentally taxing parole had been on me until it was over. 1/Sha Stepter (@ShaStepter)Tue, 13 Oct 2020 16:35 +0000

Not much #Hacktoberfest at tonight's #HomebrewWebsiteClub but I did manage to almost get my auto-configuring #Micropub editor set up so it'll provide me a way to create content for any posts that are supported on my site! This uses q=post-types and works really nicely, from some limited local testing
All is well, there’s cake in my life 🥰
