Has this caused offence because it uses the word female instead of woman, because it mentions gender at all, because the preference would be to say ‘non-male’ or something else? I’m interested as I see tweets like this and don’t 100% understand what’s being pointed out.

I get Batman is darkness & vengeance, but too many modern adaptations forget to bundle the badass with the empathy. I loved the 90s series where, as dark as things got, there were moments of hope, Batman would kick the crap out of evil, but he'd jump on a chance to rehabilitate.
