When I did 4 months of looking for a new job last year I did a lot of code tests. All it did was piss me off how arbitrary some of them were. They told me more about the company I'd be joining though, which helped me realise a lot of companies still don't know how to hire.

i feel like this idea that wearing a mask isn't disruptive or annoying is largely held by people who don't have to wear them very much and are totally ok not doing activities for which masking is impossible (i.e. sharing a meal with someone outside your household)

The way I did it is to arrange the mortgage with the longest term possible so that the required monthly payment is low, then choose a monthly payment I'm happy with. It doesn't feel like overpaying then, and you've given yourself some headroom if you need to take a payment break
