Part of this is my own fault. I pretty much only pursue roles I'm _really_ interested in. I'm pursuing one I'm not stoked about right now because "I should" and it just drains me. It's tough to be selective and then still get rejected, ghosted, or just forced to wait.

My personal opinion: NFTs and sustainability do not go together. Building sustainable ecosystems that support the creation and maintenance of #OpenSource is important. But "Maximising the GDP of software creators" is an anti-goal, and is unlikely to be sustainable economics.

Tech is neutral. It can't be good or bad. Just think of other world-changing technologies, like the atomic bomb or various chemical weapons or pop-up ads. It all depends on who's using them and how. This is how I sleep at night
