I have a terrible confession. I can’t stand the name ‘Graham’. At primary school, a boy called Graham pooed his pants, and whenever I hear that name it reminds me of diarrhoea. Apologies to Grahams everywhere. I’m sure you’re all lovely and have never pooed your pants.

Tech interview antipattern: interviewer springs a “so do you have any questions for us” to the candidate after a long coding session or when there are like 5 mins left. IMO this should be a whole separate, no-holds barred conversation, if the technical rounds went well.

When I did 4 months of looking for a new job last year I did a lot of code tests. All it did was piss me off how arbitrary some of them were. They told me more about the company I'd be joining though, which helped me realise a lot of companies still don't know how to hire.

i feel like this idea that wearing a mask isn't disruptive or annoying is largely held by people who don't have to wear them very much and are totally ok not doing activities for which masking is impossible (i.e. sharing a meal with someone outside your household)
