A standard I’d like to see in all workplaces is that if an employee/applicant declares a disability, HR presents them with a list of available accommodations. Often, disabled people have to guess what might be available & ask for it, which is emotionally & practically burdensome.

There's a video of a guy who recorded audio of dogs playing and brought it to the pound, where staff was struggling to help depressed shelter dogs cope. As soon as they played the recording, the dogs perked up, started engaging and eating again 😭 It was a *laugh track* for them!

A friend used to take sales candidates out for lunch. Had arrangement with his friend who owned the restaurant. Always had the candidate's order screwed up. Noted how they dealt with it. Either graciously just eat the food or politely point it out, great. Any pissiness, no hire.
