My long-suffering spouse was putting the kids in bed when I interrupted, "I need help, something's smoking in the bathroom!" He rushed in, followed by the kids—who were confused to find me crying w/ laughter. The kids neither knew what "smoking" meant nor why we were laughing 😂

I actually enjoy using Jira compared to a lot of other ticketing systems... but man it is SO EASY to make miserable to use, even internally. Where team A has a workflow entirely unique compared to team B. Epics are hidden on some screens but not all. etc...

jira is insanely configurable which means the setup at company A will be entirely different from company B. You can absolutely make it sane and fine to use; but flows will almost certainly not translate between companies which means a lot of relearning
