Had lunch yesterday in Lakeland,FL, and struck up a conversation with a woman who told me she was a lesbian hairdresser with two gay married sons. She said one son works at Mar a Lago and they were all Trump supporters. I paid my check and left. Just baffling.

I literally worked on that cookie banner, and I can tell you this ain’t it. Do you think designers go out of their way to make shitty UX? Have you ever worked anywhere before? Data privacy in fintech is a never-ending battle with the legal department, not with designers.

As context, we always interviewed in pairs: a primary leading the interview, and a shadow observing mostly. There were candidates who would ignore the primary female interviewer, only wanting/willing to speak to the man in the room.

This happened to me several times, even when I was introduced as the CTO or founder. I asked technical questions, and the (engineering) candidate would not even look at me and give the answer to the man in the room. I asked follow up questions, but the responses went only to him.
