That's an exaggeration, if you've done `git status` and have seen what would be staged, then `git add .` can be okay, but even then we'd be better recommending `git add -pi`, which allows interactive staging of files; no more committing stuff you didn't mean to.

If you are working on a large JS project run $> npx unimported It will tell you what dependencies are not being used in your code. In my case I found 5 npm modules and over 20 React components that were no longer part of the UI 🤯

Tech conferences are something that I will never understand. I usually lose the speaker in the first 2 minutes and spend the rest bored. In general I don't think presentations are a good way of conveying technical ideas. I find live coding in particular super confusing.

There are plenty of good uses for microservices and lambdas. But so often they accrete requirements solved a long time ago by the monoliths. Anyways now I'm thinking about a lambda emitting HTML fragments for htmx handling on a static site and I should go lay down for a bit.
