The term was created by people on TikTok using the term to describe their choice not to do more than their job as described. It wasn’t created by corporate marketing teams (who are just as burnt out as everyone else).

I think it is more for roles that expect you to do even more all the time, so you find your self working extra hours, or just worrying to much about your job, or saying yes chef! All the time,so then you start relaxing and having a better live balance, and that is quite quitting
