When you share a tweet, the URL copied contains a parameter ?t=XYZ. This is the encoded user ID of the person who shared this tweet (aka your user ID). Twitter can track this way who views the link that you shared elsewhere. To maintain privacy, manually delete this parameter.

Few notes. If you teach your user base, verification means something specific, it will be hard for them to unlearn it. We learned that it's rare for a verified account trying to phish us. Changing the meaning of the check is a security issue.
