The BBC lost the broadcast rights to Monty Python to the Monty Python group in a court case in 1976 and they've since been sold by the members to various networks including UKTV & Netflix. But why let facts get in the way of your victim complex?

Netflix currently has the rights to Monty Python. I imagine John knows this given he would probably have received a residual cheque when the sale happened but then he couldn’t pretend to be a victim of a culture he is desperate to be cancelled from.
