This content type is full of IndieWeb post types, which are all content types which allow me to take greater ownership of my own data. These are likely unrelated to my blog posts. You can find a better breakdown by actual post kind below:
The Super Mario Bros. Movie might be the first instance where instead of one character/actor carrying the film, it will be literally EVERYONE ELSE carrying Chris Pratt.
Heroku’s free plans officially reach EOL, Swyx explains the mixed reaction to Stable Diffusion 2.0, a real Twitter SRE explains how it continues to stay up even with ~80% gone, Tyler Cipriani tells us about one of Git’s coolest, most unloved features & we chat with Joel Lord about brewing beer with IoT & JavaSC...
As someone who’s worked in software for a couple decades, the things @elonmusk appears to deem important and meaningful make you wonder if he really has any idea wtf he’s doing. He certainly thinks he does.
if I wasn’t supposed to grow up to want a sugar daddy why did we base an entire holiday around a much older man bringing me presents for being a good girl
Listening to a dad in this coffee shop explain to a ~4yo that Darth Vader was “a man with a lot of big feelings who didn’t have anyone to help him express them the right way.”
Ok...after hearing Chris Pratt's Mario voice some more...he is not the actor for this role...and this is coming from a Chris Pratt fan.(don't crucify me) Everything else looks great though
My hobby: running container scanners on containers provided by security vendors.
Today's victim, Cloud Workstations (just announced today by Google): cloud.google.com/workstations/d…
When you start the environment, it shows you the URL to the container running all your software!
Mike (https://twitter.com/ukmadlz) and Jim (https://twitter.com/secondej) have our usual chat and pseudo spicy takes, this episode with guest Alistair Hey (https://twitter.com/alistair_hey), and cover:

Linux Foundation pays Linus 1.6 mill a year
And the usual off-topic tangents.
nah because this is the first time any of us are hearing about this movie. if you’ve got your first animated gay lead but you eschew all the usual marketing, then turn around and say “see no one likes ‘woke’ movies,” that is intentional evil

I once thought I was in a relationship with this girl so I asked her if she’d mind bringing guacamole to a party I was throwing, and she was like “oh, I think you’re confused….we’re not at please bring guacamole level.”
Apple and Tesla are not even remotely in the same league. Apple has a $2.3 TRILLION market cap while Tesla is at $570 billion. Elon has no leverage here. He was already overextended in buying Twitter.
Word to those looking to get into management: take the advice in popular management books with a grain of salt. Many are US-centric and won't be directly applicable in other countries. Also, I cannot get behind any book telling you to put your team through a JUDGEMENT TEST.
Mastodon vs Twitter is a great case study on why decentralization alone isn't enough. Architecture matters and centralized systems exist for a reason: 👋🏾performance.
I got a feeling the community is going to figure this out, whether that's ActivityPub, or something else.
