Been thinking about retrospective promotions, where you have to prove you're successful at the higher level for a while before you get the title. They create a perverse incentive to delay promos to avoid increasing compensation.

Why are people so paranoid of governments implementing digital identities and potentially creating a "social credit system", when they're forking over and allowing the collection of massive amounts of data about themselves to private companies?
