FYI in this example you can set this to happen by default
Working with the git CLI:
project $ git push
fatal: The current branch my-branch has no upstream branch.
To push the current branch and set the remote as upstream, use
git push --set-upstream origin my-branch
Why doesn't it then ask 'Is that what you want to do? [Y/n]'
