You long for crowded bars full theaters sweaty dancehalls and noisy restaurants but the normal you miss that you ache for is not a physical location it was the peace of mind you had when you believed your society could manage a pandemic that is a normal to which you cannot returnPlague Poems (@PlaguePoems)Tue, 11 Jan 2022 18:10 GMT
Having done a couple of online talks, this sounds like a great tip - it's unnerving talking to yourself/your slides with no audience feedback at all.

Great tip for presenting remotely that I learned from a couple of our #DesignOps Summit speakers: FaceTime with a trusted friend or mentor while presenting. (Muted, of course.) $10,000 is a lot of money, right? If you made $10,000 every day since 1776, you still wouldn't have $1 billion today. Stop defending modern day robber barons.Fifty Shades of Whey (@davenewworld_2)Wed, 12 Jan 2022 07:58 GMT
Welcome to Murderville, a new series starring Will Arnett as a detective who, in every episode, has to solve a murder with a new celebrity guest star as his partner. The catch is: the guest star is never given a script so they have to improvise their way through the case!Netflix (@netflix)Thu, 13 Jan 2022 18:00 GMT
Dear tech startups, saying money shouldn’t be the main motivation for a candidate, while raising millions in funding, is the biggest dichotomy of what’s said vs what’s being done. As long as housing, food and water cost money, money matters. I can be passionate AND want money.ingrid.e (@opinionatedpie)Thu, 13 Jan 2022 13:57 GMT

Taking vacation is not a solution if you are out of bandwidth. When on vacation, things on your backlog is piling up and creating more stress. If overload is momentary, people sometimes fake vacation to go through their piles before taking a real vacation. twitter.com/carnage4life/s…Post details
One of the challenges with taking PTO is that work doesn’t stop and you’re underwater when you come back.
