people really need to find a place to put ideas that isn't the backlog
Post details
"If you can't say with absolute certainty that you'll build something, it has no business on your backlog."
"But most of the things on our backlog are likely to change, or maybe disappear altogether, as we learn!"
"Yes, and your point is?"
This is a good way to present this issue. Focus on the fact that most people do care about safety; don’t demonize people for driving unsafe vehicles they thought were safe.

The SUV that many think of as safe for their kids is actually not safe at all.
One of the things I love about building with IndieWeb building blocks is that (sometimes through more work than anticipated) you can swap out pieces of your site without (much) disruption because the …
This image of a woman shirtless in a sports bra - hugely significant. This is a woman’s body - not for sex or show - just for the sheer joy of what she can do and the power and skill she has. Wonderful. #Lionesses
I get that the country is made up of lots of immigrants, but the fascination with where ancestors came from and then *only certain countries* are seen as culturally valid seems very odd to me.
You know that US thing about being "Italian American" or "Irish American", where they just don't understand that they're simply US people with immigrant relatives?
Are there *any* "British or English or Welsh Americans"?
"Scottish"? It's an excuse to wear a kilt.
I have COVID (again), post-SDCC despite precautions and two boosters. The big takeaway for me as I look at the bright purple lines on these tests is I can’t travel to cons anymore. Because if this is what “endemic COVID” looks like, I can’t afford it. This shouldn’t be normalized
“You’ve just got to be able to separate the art from the artist - an artist who has repeatedly questioned your humanity, and continues to profit off a franchise (that if you removed the magical elements) wouldn’t even qualify for one of those YA ten packs at a school book fair.”

We are excited to announce that we’ve started preparing for Spring Authorization Server 1.0 with plans to release the GA version in November 2022. It has been just over two years since we initially announced this new project, and we have come a long way since its initial development. The project has a full feature set, and the APIs have stabilized and matured over this time. A lot of effort and care was put into this project to ensure that it can grow and adapt over the next few years.

Spring Authorization Server 1.0 will be based on Spring Security 6.0, which will be based off of Spring Framework 6.0 and will require a minimum of Java 17 at runtime, as well as a minimum of Tomcat 10 or Jetty 11 (for Jakarta EE 9 compatibility). This major release will inherit the VMware Tanzu OSS support policy. Commercial support, which offers an extended support period, is also available from VMware.

Waste of space.

#BREAKING Rishi Sunak attacks Equality Act 2010, calls it "trojan horse" of "woke nonsense".
In a speech tomorrow, Sunak will vow to ensure "sex means biological sex", protect "mothers" and "women" from "erasure" - as well as "shield children from inappropriate material."
Constantly amazed by the number of men that walk around the city with no bags. Just going to work raw. Walking out the door with no emergency tissue or painkillers. Just them and their hands in their pockets against the world
if Mario Kart was about pure driving I would win every race but unfortunately my competitors insist on engaging in a great deal of unsportsmanlike behaviour
there's a norm mcdonald joke where he's like "I was reading the history books, and it turns out, get this, the good guys won every single time! can you believe that? What a luck coincidence"
I didn't have #pegging trending in relation to Prince William on the proverbial bingo card.
But I will say this: behind every great man is a woman.

You’re not voting Labour or LibDem to get the party of your dreams. You’re voting Labour or LibDem to defeat the Tories and change our voting system.
THEN you can vote for the party of your dreams.
Meantime: suck it up.
If you're annoyed by people starting a meeting with their pronouns, based on beliefs you don't share, you might have a better understanding of why people don't want to sit through prayers at city council meetings.
