In an attempt to prevent people linking to banned social media sites, Twitter is now scanning for common URL defanging techniques (i.e. urlhere[.]com). So if you're in infosec and use these methods to share malicious urls safely for research, be aware it may now trigger a ban.

I came across this issue, too - I talked to the owner of the bot that creates these profiles and he was, to put it mildly, a jerk. I've learned many Mastodon instances block these "birdsite"/"bridge" instances, at least.
