It seems the [Zed editor](https://zed.dev/) has finally started working on Arch Lunix, so I sat down and gave it a go. It asks you to log in using your Github account. Log in to what? I thought it would obviously be settings sync, but it's not - they don't even have any immediate plans to implement it. I think it might be for Copilot. They implemented very elaborate tooling for chatting with an LLM as a top priority, but they don't consider syncing your settings between computers a priority at all. This is not an editor developed for people like me.

I want a "Send Later" feature in all messaging apps. It's incredibly convenient.

One surprising aspect of my time off this year has been how much I've needed to sleep. This last year has been stressful for various reasons, and I suspect my body is trying to tell me to slow down and recover. I just had a discussion about this a few months ago. They were under the impression that y2k was a ‘flop’. I explained that it was a flop because we spent ten months changing lines of code to accommodate the 2000’s. Had we done the covid lockdowns correctly, that could have been a flop too.
