really excited for next month's #queer #tech meetup in #bristol - we'll be talking about what leadership looks like for queers.
It's a topic I've become really interested in lately - I feel corporate environments often fail those who don't fit the expected profile of a "senior" person.

I wish I could claw back time and be there to hug my mother one more time; to talk to her; to be in her presence; to care for her how she needed to be cared for. I wish I could do it over. I wish I …
The smooth brain moment when you think you can outsmart hackers because you don’t change from the factory password, because everyone changes off the factory password, so they won’t even try it!
Since its release, teams around the world have been using dependabot to automate the process of keeping your project's dependencies up to date. In this article, I'll show you how you can run dependabot on the command line using dependabot-core.

the post that was like "if it makes my dick hard it's a woman" and "transgender is like ferrari" are 2 of the most important pieces of gender theory to me
This screenshot is from the blog post where they also said that they changed it. The fact that they changed it was the title of the post. They also mentioned in the very next sentence after the one cut off in this screenshot.
I can't believe a feature that I suggested randomly as a response to Daniel Stenberg poll is now part of curl (since 7.82.0). It's now possible to use curl --json which is equivalent to curl -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d. Thanks @bagder

Make no mistake: LLM vendors will not want customers to locally run models: they want to have access to data, so they can use it for training, to get visibility in usage and, perhaps launch a directly competing feature later.
Before rushing to use a new API, just know this.
In this new world of LLMs (often referred to as “AI”) data ownership and the quality of that data will very soon become the moat, not the algorithms.
Any org that to hands over their data to a vendor -which vendor then keeps this data and gets to use it as training- is foolish. twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
