Twitter is showing me this tweet from Nat Friedman. Nat Friedman has had me blocked for years. How am I seeing this tweet? My guess is because I follow both @kelseyhightower and @polotek so this thread got pulled into my feed. But I def shouldn’t see Nat’s tweet.

Yeah it feels like the new fyp algorithm doesn't give a shit about visibility rules. This is what happens when you fire everybody who knew how things worked and you have to basically start over.

Fun times with family and friends 💛

Found out about the #HomebrewWebsiteClub on the #IndieWeb site. It’s “a growing world-wide network of meetups for everyone who wants to take back their web experience from #socialMedia silos, and own their online identities & content, or just want support with #blogging!” I’ve been anti-digital sharecropping for awhile and with my new #blog, this is right up my alley. I’d love to try to do a #meetup locally in person but this might be a cool thing to do as a monthly #webchat here on #Mastodon/the #Fediverse. Comment or boost if you’re interested in joining a regular webchat here. https://indieweb.org/Homebrew_Website_Club

If you watch Everything Everywhere All At Once and it doesn’t make sense to you; I’m glad you don’t have the generational trauma to get the nauances of the movie. I really am. I’ve found that my parents generation often don’t get the film; but that’s half the point. 😅

One explanation for this is that men are traditionally raised that our value comes from working and providing. Once we retire we are no longer providing which naturally makes us depressed. Depression can lead to earlier death. Or not. But this sounded good when I first thought it
