For anyone who struggles with disaster rooms due to #ADHD, depression, or other factors, the “5 Things” method looks to be very useful! It cuts down decisions to be made on any given cluttered space to only 5: 1. Is it trash? 2. Is it laundry? 3. Is it dishes? 4. Does it have a home? 5. Does it not have a home? https://youtu.be/Pe9NBn67yxU

Every billionaire CEO or VC that complains about the “woke mind virus” is really complaining about the fact that they have all the money in the world but can’t be as racist, sexist or homophobic as they want.

The ongoing Docker drama left me wanting to control my Docker image hosting, so I went digging into the API traffic of 'docker pull'. Turns out it's easy to use your own domain as the hostname for Docker images, all without having to self-host your own full registry: https://httptoolkit.com/blog/docker-image-registry-facade/

Language, is a gift.

Joss Prior🌈Psychodelicia🌈 (@joss_prior)Wed, 15 Mar 2023 23:46 GMT

Ugh, 5 day weeks. What’s that about?

“Woke” was coined by Black people as shorthand for people aware of structural racism. That’s literally all it means.

We welcome anyone at @docker to join us on @changelog and talk through this change and their plans to (or to not) support open source. #maintainersmaintainersmaintainers

Post details

Docker is now being actively hostile to open source projects. If we want to maintain elixir, livebook, and other images as teams, we now either have to shell out $300 per org or our the accounts will be deleted.

I spend most of my days untangling knots of code. A lot of days, it gets me frustrated, incredulous. How do they not see the knots? 😤 Today, however, it made me melancholy. How do they not see the knots? 😢 They keep tying them, over and over. How do they not see the knots?! 🥺

As someone who never got a single “below average” my entire career but ended up being laid off early March regardless, I surely do not appreciate the rhetoric that everyone who was laid off in the recent tech market are under-performers.
