This is sad. I've been providing hugs on Twitter for over three years now (has it really been that long???) This bot isn't monetized, the hugs are truly free so there's no way I can pay for API access. Unless @elonmusk changes his mind this bot will stop giving hugs next week😭

Post details

Starting February 9, we will no longer support free access to the Twitter API, both v2 and v1.1. A paid basic tier will be available instead 🧵

Jo: 1, sepsis: 0 It has been a scary few days but I’m incredibly greatful to be here. If I lived in another country without our NHS there’s no way I could’ve afforded the level of care I received. Support our heroes on strike and our amazing system 💜 #NHS #nhsstrikes

The fact that I went to a four year university and still had to study extra for software engineering interviews blows my mind.

My mom saw this photo and said “your legs look huge” (derogatory) Parents, please never speak to your children this way about their bodies. It doesn’t matter if they’re 5 or 35. My “huge” legs are strong and beautiful. I wish my mom could see that too.

Taking hefty inspiration from Carol and Jamie I am putting together some notes on the month. We’ll see how often I can keep this up! ✨ What happened…

I hope @carol@social.lol doesn't mind me completely ripping her lifenotes format off... but I have. I really love reading these so I thought it's time I did my own. Blogging used to be something I did very regularly in my teens so why stop now? https://loftio.co.uk/lifenotes-001-january-23/

It's OK to make jokes about neurodiveristy. Neurodiversity has this image where it's all very serious and sensible but NDs are some of the funniest people I've ever met - and a frequent source of humour is our own conditions. Humour makes it easier to engage with people too.

"My son's autistic." "Interesting, is anyone else in the family autistic?" "No, I don't think so." "There's a strong genetic link you know." "Hmm, no, it's only him." "LOOK IN THE BLOODY MIRROR DAVE."

Normalise tidying up when your friend gets there, rather than before. I'll actually tidy if you're with me, plus I can concentrate better on what you're saying if I'm moving about.

First they took away my favourite app (Tweetbot), next week they’ll prevent me from syndicating notes from my own site using a free API. This new direction for Twitter makes me very sad. …

Netflix doing the absolute dumbest thing re account sharing is just painful to watch. Just sell a family pack. This isn't a unique problem.

The hidden burden of undiagnosed ADHD is constantly needing to invent excuses in an attempt to explain or justify behavior that you don’t even understand yourself.
