No, you didn't say otherwise. You just conveniently left that bit ("email") out. In doing so, you made a tough story, worse. Shocking. A journalist taking the axiom, "If it bleeds it leads" to the extreme.
If you can’t be concretely helpful to people who’ve lost their jobs, it’s best to STFU rather than resort to these sort of bromides.
Try telling this to someone from India stuck in the green card queue for 15 years or someone who has a mortgage and 3 children to care for.
cuphead is the perfect unwind game cause there’s no room for anxiety in your brain when you’re using every single brain cell you have to dodge like 50 things at once
I'mma say this again. Be careful accepting a role at a company that has not done layoffs yet. Be skeptical and ask questions. I'm hearing some wild stories out here.
If a company has not done layoffs in 2022, be very skeptical of their hiring. People will tell you things are going great and they're not planning layoffs. But things can change real quick. And new hires are on the chopping block first.
DeSantis banning AP African American Studies is a reminder of that old quote -- White privilege is when your history is the curriculum and every other history is an elective.
Urgh! Yet another thing that #MacOS can't do which is standard on #Linux.
I have my monitor connected to my MacBook using HDMI. Sound comes out of my monitor.
It is *impossible* to control the volume of the Mac once it is connected. Laptop volume buttons just show the 🚫 symbol when pressed.
It's a work Mac, so I can't install any software on it to change this behaviour. But, frankly, why should I have to? Every other laptop works fine with an external speaker.
Why are Macs so crap?
Today is Kevin’s 2nd birthday 🎉
Kevin has changed my life
I’ve had a really bad couple of years, and whilst no dog can fix that, he’s given me something to look forward to. A reason to get up. And he gives me true unconditional love
Happy birthday Kev ❤️
> It's important to remember that the price rises we've seen recently have been primarily driven by global energy prices.
What bullshit.
Spelling mistake: energy prices / energy company greed
Just saw an ambulance filling up at the petrol station.
Went up and asked what chocolate they liked... a surprised look and "Galaxy"...
Bought a couple of bars of galaxy chocolate for them and they were very grateful. Massive smiles.
It's a small thing but seemed to mean a lot
"Third-party clients don't make us any money so of course we're not allowing them" is a bold stance from the one platform that doesn't share revenue with its creators. #Twitter
Okay so I’m doing some planning and about to create several JIRA tickets.
Where’s the line between doing too much pre-work research on my part vs leaving too many unknowns? I want to smoothen the edges for the team but maybe keep some fun challenge. Any tips?
