Currently trying to work out a way to reliably take down our staging environment in work to simulate an incident you would experience on production. We are working towards Gamedays so people can practise being oncall without actually being thrown into the deep end. The problem I'm facing today is someone has already accidentally broken the staging environment so I can't intentionally break it 🙃

This is my Spotify Wrapped! Thanks @Netlify for another incredible year of development! #netlifriend My loyalty to @nuxt_js cannot be questioned. twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

It is 🚫NOT OK🚫 to show where a plane belonging to a person is lest a nogoodnik with a surface-to-air missile exploit that information. It is 👍JUST FINE👍 to insinuate that people you don’t like are maybe into pedophilia.

Credit scores were created in 1989. We can live without them.

If I’m being honest, as someone who lives with depression & is often depressed, seeing people tweet “you never know what people are going thru” every fucking time is really triggering for me? Bc a lot folk *do* know but avoid you, act like you’re being negative, etc. 🫤

We need a positive PR campaign on masks. We need to rebrand them as a symbol of compassion & empowerment. Our leaders have tricked many into believing they are oppressive but we can turn this around.

The replies are great, they fall into three camps: 1. Finance is simple really 2. Finance is impossible to understand, possibly by design 3. The bank gets the stock, after that who knows

Wish instead of doing stupid questionnaires they just administered Adderall & monitored brain patterns as a form of ADHD diagnosis I am _very_ curious how it feels. And how much shit I could get done without myself getting in the way

Sandy Hook happened 10 years ago today. At the time, people said "how many more children have to die before we do something to stop the killing?" The answer: 25,000 25,000 children killed by guns in America in the last decade. And still virtually nothing has been done.

i love to diss on mastodon and this actually comes from a rather unfair frustration that like a lot of OSS its just trying to reskin the big alternative, twitter (toots, seriously?) in a clunky way instead of making anything new. it’s funny to see jack doing that to masto now

laura (@freezydorito)Wed, 14 Dec 2022 13:52 GMT

masto has spent the last what 5 years putting in the work on doing decentralized networks at scale in the open with real users + real drama so obvi I’m hyped to see what a bunch of sv valley bros on cocaine think they r bringing to the table on this space getrevue.co/profile/jackja…

this is just my opinion but there’s very little on decentralizing social media thats technological problems in any capacity we understand, and a lot that’s people problems, and fixing ppl problems with technology tends to be band-aidy
