RT @kloogans pretty fucked up that my body, a chemistry lab made of meat, simply chooses to make me feel a little bit nervous for no reason

Having a twitter network is great. It has been huge in my role as an EM. Unfortunately, when you hire people from your feed, it means trying to find a new opportunity without alerting them becomes so much more difficult.

I played with IndieAuth a bit a while back and it felt like a nice evolution of the original URL-based OpenID, but I don't think it's seen very much adoption simonwillison.net/2020/Nov/18/in…

Using xdotool to work around difficult systems like gdocs? Heck yeah. Also: Gonna have to add "Helped get Biden elected" to my resume.

Because the Google Docs API requires you to track cursor offsets,¹ we instead had the app exec out to xdotool² to send keystrokes straight into the browser. ¹ developers.google.com/docs/api/how-t… ² github.com/jordansissel/x…

LGBTQ+ people will keep existing whether or not it pleases you. You should consider "surrendering" since that just means ignoring something that doesn't impact you anyways.

I believe that gender ideology is one of the greatest evils in human history. There is nothing they can threaten that would make me back down from this fight. I’d rather be dead than surrender to this madness. It’s as simple as that for me.

Twitter likely becomes another Truth Social or, at best, a Conservative TikTok. Meta (incl Fb & Insta) is sinking faster than most folks understand. No one wants to run federated social on their own server. Social media is passing away at the end of the Long 2010’s. 2/

If your #ADHD friend hasn’t been in touch I promise they still love you. They just don’t have object permanence so if something is no longer in front of them their brain loses track of it. Trust me, when you reach out their eyes light up & they are so excited to hear from u!
