Burnout isn't a result of just working too hard. It's a result of working too hard solving artificial problems that shouldn't exist, where the outcome isn't making progress but just getting back to the starting line.

ONE MORE TIME: if a man can leave his home State for Nevada to pay for sex where that’s legal, and not be prosecuted upon returning to where that’s illegal, how TF can we prohibit women from traveling for reproductive care? I’ll die on this hill. Literally, if necessary 😡

those "If Young People Don't Want To Come Back To The Office They'll Be Hurting Their Careers" pieces by CEOs just absolutely give the game away. You're not being judged by the quality of your work, you're being judged by the emotional service you provide to the people above you

"I'm okay" means I'm tired but I can handle "I'm tired" it means "I don't have the energy to feed myself or do basic tasks" "I'm exhausted" means "I'm so tired I probably cannot speak, move or function right now" I don't think it's the same for non-AuDHDers. I might be wrong.

Is it just me or did @TheExpanseWR get way to feminine in the 6th season. All the guys are either villains or weak. The women are always “strong” and leaders. Every trap they fall for is based on how women think. 🙄 #feminism #PrimeVideo #TheExpanse

One of my old cats disappeared and at one month gone we were convinced she was gone forever. A month after that she casually strolled through the door one day, introduced us to a grey tomcat we'd never seen then went upstairs and started giving birth, it was a lot to process lol

My unsolicited advice, especially In These Times: if someone fucks with you, you gotta say the magic words. Nothing else I did worked. Describing the issue didn’t work. Asking for documentation didn’t work. Learn the words!!

Look, interviewing as an engineer sucks. There is a lot of time and energy that goes into preparation. The very least you can do for your candidate is provide them with the proper information in order to be fully prepared to perform their best. Don't 👏 do 👏 sneaky 👏 stuff 👏.

Chloe Condon (@ChloeCondon)Sun, 17 Jul 2022 06:39 +0000

One of the places I interviewed told me explicitly that I would not be whiteboarding, and then made me whiteboard... twice. Then, told me I'd be getting an offer, and 2 days later eliminated the position. Can I sue for emotional damage? 🤔
