If it’s important, I’ll accept the meeting but it at least forces people to *ask* before dropping a meeting smack dab in the middle of my focus time. I’ve also found that people usually have other time blocks to choose from, they just prefer my focus time.

Setting my focus time blocks to auto decline new meetings was one of the best moves I have ever made.

First time I've seen a pop-up advert in @gmail on the web. I get that it is for a good cause, but feels totally misplaced. And my contributions would be nothing compared to Google donating some pocket change.

My spouse’s workplace is US & Europe-based, many people have never met in person. They’re having a company-wide retreat at a corporate campground next month. Each night, everyone will be assigned a *new* roommate. At *random*. I would love to know people’s thoughts about this.

So, I registered my first domain with Google 6 years ago. That is a long time to keep the product in beta. I hope one day I don't wake up with an email from Google telling me they are cancelling Google domains, and I have five days to move somewhere else.

So I have been at @GDSTeam and now Cabinet Office for 10 years! Wow time goes by quick, here are some of my interesting points. 1/ I started when GDS had 90 users, the internet was provided using a site to site VPN over a Cisco PIX to GDS's prior home at Hercules House.
