Google undermining decades of work with the developer community  twitter.com/tesseralis/sta…

Post details

the whole leak about how google shoved AMP on people's faces and fudged load times to justify it makes me wonder what other frameworks and "best practices" are shilled by other big tech co's for their own nefarious purposes 🤔

Not necessarily tech companies but - SAFe #agile - Scrum (especially as time went on) - SOA - GitOps - Jira Also there are a lot of good ideas sold for inappropriate use cases like making everything #microservices

Woke definition: alert to injustice in society, especially racism. Not really got anything to do with English cuisine Neil, does it?

OMG YES YES YES If you are into signing git commits, here's your answer! Also, I'm happy any time I see SSH signatures in use. Every developer has SSH keys! We have robust tooling and hardware for them! They are simple! You can use ssh-keygen(1) to produce and verify them.

Git signing using SSH keys just landed! github.com/git/git/pull/1…

This is an excellent point I never thought about. Why in the world don't we use SSH keys more?

I've transitioned from "read docs to learn how to do the thing" to "just give me a repo that does all the things" as my preferred way from picking up a new tool/API. unfortunately, the % of my time that I'm frustrated because the way I want to learn is missing hasn't changed.
