Unmasked antivaxxers putting vulnerable people at risk through engaging in unsafe food service practices is an indictment of their characters, not a positive PR move. 😒 twitter.com/katiedaviscour…

So you’re saying Seattle should use the money they’re saving by not paying police to instead feed the homeless?

Has this caused offence because it uses the word female instead of woman, because it mentions gender at all, because the preference would be to say ‘non-male’ or something else? I’m interested as I see tweets like this and don’t 100% understand what’s being pointed out.

it's not that i'm offended - it's simply that opening an email which indicates that a company's chief or near-chief interest in hiring me is that i'm a woman and not my skillset is pretty offputting!

I get Batman is darkness & vengeance, but too many modern adaptations forget to bundle the badass with the empathy. I loved the 90s series where, as dark as things got, there were moments of hope, Batman would kick the crap out of evil, but he'd jump on a chance to rehabilitate.

A Netflix user will browse the app for 90 seconds and leave if they find nothing. Thumbnail artwork is actually NFLX's most effective lever to influence a viewer's choice. A user will look at one for only 1.8 seconds, so NFLX spends huge to optimize them. Here's a breakdown🧵
