This is what happens when the people making these decisions aren't people who have to worry about harassment

Hopefully a sign that all the discussion about @Strava's privacy settings is having an impact! What we really need to see them do is change their default settings to not share data publicly and improve how they describe the impact of the different privacy options 🤞

Note that since you posted this, Strava put a link in my feed allowing me to adjust my privacy settings. Hopefully this link was for all users... more than just me.

He wasn't complaining about his data being abused. He was pointing out that the default security settings on strava were potentially dangerous for women running alone. Giving a shit about harassment of women? What a dick. Yeah, he should definitely go fuck himself 🙄

If you'd read the thread, you'd realize that he's more concerned about marginalized genders getting abused than anything else 🤷‍♀️ At least from the way that I read it, he's bringing awareness to the problem

Holy shit, this thread is a horror show. Made me wonder who Twitter would pick as the star of Black Panther... https://t.co/f68y6nGd9N

Trying a horrible experiment... Which will the Twitter algorithm pick: Mitch McConnell or Barack Obama?

Watching Star Trek... Riker: Is this channel secure? Ferengi: *presses buttons* Now it is. Love that ST imagines a universe where peace, prosperity, and exploration are possible...but not secure-by-default comms.

I wonder if Twitter does this to fictional characters too. Lenny Carl
