Writing code the "wrong way" to use an example of bad practice in a workshop is really hard. I am fighting my own instincts and asking "how would someone using this approach do this?"

Here is the #1 most important career advice I can give: DO NOT HAVE A TWITTER PROFILE FULL OF GATEKEEPY SHIT TAKES. Roughly, more than 3 consecutive tweets totally missing your own privilege with less than ~18 marginalised people followed is a career danger zone.

If you’re a woman of many talents and multitudes it’s hard for people to put you into a box. You defy specialization. Your super power lies in your multipotentialite abilities. For so long I was negged for being too many things and felt insecure about my generalist skill set.

I don't agree that you should *have* to learn things on your own time "to keep up to date" with your job. If you can't do that at all during work then there's something wrong. The act of work, especially in a knowledge based career like tech, should include learning.

23 has been a whirlwind. I was elected to represent my home city - the greatest honour of my life, we had the first Christmas with my brother since he moved to Sydney 5 years ago, and I got to spend it with friends old and new. 24, let’s have you 🎉🎂

So I spent the better half of today thinking about this and I have two things to say to you. 1) You have tiny dick energy. 2) Have you been both a woman and man in tech? No. Guess what asshole. I have. Being a woman in tech fucking sucks.

the editor on this story knew exactly what they were doing when they hit publish: there were no good intentions, just a singular, callus focus on website traffic and capitalizing on interest in this man’s death. and this is not the first time y’all have posted inappropriate shit!
