Wanting attention is quite honestly one of the most basic of human needs so why anyone tries to shame someone for doing something in order to get attention is a bit asinine. Virtually everything we do socially is for attention. The question is what kind of attention is sought.

While this is great news, especially for our workers who were impacted by these layoffs, we're not done yet. We return to the bargaining table today to continue working towards our first contract. We expect management to put the same effort into our contract negotiations as they did with severance, and to come to the table today with all outstanding counters.

We're excited to announce that we've reached an agreement with #CodeForAmerica on a severance package for all members who were laid off 2 weeks ago, including whose unit membership was in dispute! https://statescoop.com/code-for-america-union-severance-layoffs/ This package more closely aligns with the TAs we had previously negotiated with management for layoffs and severance. This is a tremendous win for us and we couldn't have done it without our collective power and your support. ✊ #UnionStrong #Layoffs #HotLaborSummer
