so... "the way Firefox stores cached data, which is by caching it normally unless we tell it otherwise, which we did not do" love that the whole web is made by folks using chrome

Note

So turns out that when I said "yes dinner is ready" to Anna Dodson I actually meant "I put it in the oven on the wrong temperature and dinner isn't cooked yet" 😳

Note

For those of you that weren't able to make Pauline Narvas's talk at #WiTNotts, it's on her YouTube channel 🙌 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fybQ2oId1I4

Note

And for folks who've rightfully come out of Pauline Narvas's talk at #WiTNotts wanting to start blogging, there's #HomebrewWebsiteClub Nottingham which is every other week (online) and is a great space to put two hours aside to blog / work on your website

Note

Another good point by Pauline Narvas - be careful about oversharing / sharing things that may make hurt you/your company's public image, as well as hurt folks you know #WiTNotts

Note

I'm enjoying how Pauline Narvas has answered lots of questions with "I'll send you a blog post I've written about this", it's nice to see someone other than me doing it 😅 #WiTNotts

Note

YES! Pauline Narvas's comment at #WiTNotts about having blogging influence the quality/length of her Pull Request descriptions resonates massively with me. Since doing more blogging / technical writing I've found that my written communication has improved greatly - or maybe it's just more verbose 😅

Note

Really lovely to hear how much of an inspiration Pauline Narvas's blog has had on building communities and inspiring folks to do things #WiTNotts

Note

"Blogging is more (to me) than the amount of views per month.. it can be whatever you want it to be" - great point by Pauline Narvas about how when blogging you shouldn't try to fit the niche - it's something I try to practice too by writing for myself under "blogumentation" https://www.jvt.me/posts/2017/06/25/blogumentation/ #WiTNotts

Note

Just pushed a fix for meetup-mf2.jvt.me as it's not handling the Online events very well - it should now respond a bit better

Note

Been a great kickoff from Anna Dodson and @LittleHelli to start #WiTNotts and we're about to have to Pauline Narvas's talk Thoughts to Pixels: the impact of blogging

#Morph is half in the sun because he doesn't want to be too warm

Black cat in a circular ball, with all his paws muddled up, very sleepy and half in the sun
